Downtown Wichita is currently seeking submissions for artwork that incorporates features that are inclusive and accessible to all, including members of our community who are blind or visually impaired. Artists are invited to design and submit a public work(s) of art through the lens of a non-visual world. 

We encourage you to reexamine your ideas about textures, sound and movement to create works of art that engage the whole person through an all-inclusive, multi-sensory, interactive experience for people of all abilities. We are seeking works that push and pull the boundaries of creative innovation to make this public installation one of the most accessible, forward-thinking public arts experiences for all members of our community. Downtown Wichita received a grant from the Knight Foundation Fund at the Wichita Community Foundation to enhance Gallery Alley and create an inclusive art destination. Learn more about Gallery Alley.
