Meet Drew

Drew is collaborating with Rodney Horton, owner of Standard Issue Company, for the Front Porch project.

As an architect at SPT Architecture who is drawn to sustainable design practices, Drew Phillips pursues opportunities for positive change in his community and to better the lives of the individuals around him. Many of the projects he has been a part of are community focused, some of which include multi-family residential, single family residential, commercial, medical, hospitality, and educational projects.

Although he knew from a young age that he wanted to become an Architect, it was during his tenure at Oklahoma State University, where he received his Bachelor of Architecture degree, that he began to understand how sustainability and architecture are intertwined. During his studies, he visited many places both near and far from his Midwestern roots, all of which have molded the way he approaches architecture and design. While he grew up in Oklahoma, Downtown Wichita has been his and his playful Weimaraner Kaia’s home for the past five years.

While living an active lifestyle, Drew is involved in many recreational sports leagues in and around Wichita. He and his girlfriend Alex, a first grade teacher in the Goddard School District, are especially involved with the Wichita Catholic Young Adults program, which is where they met playing softball. Drew’s spare time is spent enjoying some of his favorite hobbies, which include photography, hiking, camping, fishing, and carpentry.
