Orpheum Theatre
The Orpheum Theatre represents one of the finest remaining examples of the atmospheric school of theatre architecture which developed during the early 1900's, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1922 and designed by architect John Eberson, the historic theatre features world-class entertainment and serves as a resource for local and national music, dance and theatre. Located at the corner of First and Broadway, the theatre offers an eclectic schedule of classic film series, live performances and concerts.
Due to its architectural significance, beauty, rich history, and location, the Orpheum is a culturally-filled niche within the Wichita community.
