Wichita, Kan., April 20, 2026—Downtown Wichita invites the community to roll up their sleeves and participate in the Downtown Wichita Clean-Up event on Saturday, April 25, beginning at 9 a.m.

This event brings together volunteers to tidy up downtown, reinforcing the connection between a well-maintained core and economic growth and vibrancy.

Individuals and groups from area businesses, clubs and organizations have already committed to participating. They will take on a variety of tasks, including bridge painting, park landscaping and trash pick-up.
As part of the day’s festivities, PEC will provide T-shirts and Evergy will provide a complimentary lunch at Downtown Wichita to thank the volunteers for their hard work.

Additional volunteers are welcome to register here. The event is free and open to the public.
Members of the media are encouraged to attend, as the event offers great visuals of volunteers actively beautifying their city.
