WICHITA, Kan., Nov. 26, 2024 – The magic of the holidays is transforming downtown Wichita. Local businesses are dazzling their storefronts for the Downtown Wichita Window Wonderland, a festive window decorating contest meant to spread joy and attract shoppers to downtown.

From Nov. 29 through Jan. 1, downtown visitors can view creatively decorated windows by 20 participating businesses and vote for their favorite displays. The top three winners will receive bragging rights and cash prizes! First place will be awarded $500.

“This is a wonderful way to showcase our local businesses while inviting people to experience the holidays in the heart of our city,” said Downtown Wichita Executive Director Heather Schroeder. “We’re excited to see the creativity and community spirit come to life through these beautiful displays.”

Community members can cast one vote per day for their favorite window display by scanning the QR code located at each business or by visiting the contest website. The winners will be announced on Downtown Wichita’s social media channels and website on Jan. 6, 2025.
