Downtown Wichita presents the 2026 Fun for the Fourth Window Decorating Contest. This event is happening in conjunction with the America 250 celebrations taking place across Wichita – to celebrate 250 years since the founding of the United States in 1776. Additionally, FIFA is hosting World Cup matches in neighboring Kansas City and Dallas in June and July, which is likely to bring tourist traffic through our city on the I-35 corridor.

Downtown Wichita is particularly excited about welcoming visitors downtown, encouraging foot traffic to our businesses, and bringing new eyes to each storefront. Fifteen businesses have signed up to participate in this contest, decorating their windows with red, white, and blue. Some are also incorporating soccer themed fun into their displays.

Stop by each of these businesses to view their window displays and make sure to vote for your favorite.
