Have an idea for a new event downtown? We’re here to help make it happen.

Downtown Wichita is offering up to $1,000 in sponsorship funding for first-time, free, public events taking place within the Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District (SSMID). These sponsorships are intended to encourage creative placemaking and provide early momentum for events with long-term potential.

Applications are accepted year-round and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. If your organization is ready to activate the heart of the city with something new, we’d love to hear from you.
