Downtown Fall Clean-Up Brings Fresh Energy to the Core

By Emily Barnwell

Downtown Wichita is ready for a new season following the first-ever Fall Clean-Up Day on Friday, Sept. 12.

With the help of 75 volunteers, the team:

  • Repainted the brick walkway in Gallery Alley
  • Planted seven trees and 48 mums to brighten up Rotary Park.
  • Collected more than 350 gallons of litter throughout the district.

Downtown Wichita hosted the clean-up on a Friday to connect directly with downtown businesses and were thrilled to have volunteers from United Way of the Plains, Fagron Sterile Services, High Touch Technologies, City Wide Facility Solutions, ASM and more join in.

A big thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves to keep downtown vibrant, welcoming and full of energy. We couldn’t have done it without you!
