Now Open! Downtown Welcomes New Businesses
Downtown Wichita now has more places to eat, shop, sip and explore. Over the past few months, a fresh wave of businesses has opened their doors, each adding something new, exciting and local to Wichita’s vibrant city center.
Here’s what’s new in the neighborhood:
Moroccan Café – Opened February
Tucked into downtown with spices and charm, this cafe serves breakfast and lunch dishes native to several parts of the world, including Morocco, Italy, India, China and the Middle East. Delivery is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, the cafe offers catering, as well as a 20-person meeting room for your next event. Call 316-409-8724.
"We chose to open the business downtown because of the location and built-in customer base inside the Epic Center. It's been a good spot for us. Plus, we don't charge for parking!" said Moroccan Cafe Owner Brahim El Hamdaoui.
The Barber Experience LLC – Opened March
Attracted to the high foot traffic and vibrancy of downtown, The Barber Experience provides an intimate setting for fresh haircuts. Situated across the street from Naftzger Park and near great eats, the shop welcomes walk-ins. The owner began working downtown in 2024 and is thrilled to have his shop in the heart of the core.
"I love the vibe and atmosphere it has for a one-on-one experience at a barbershop," said Owner Javier Garcia. "I have had a lot of support from the local businesses in the area, and I truly appreciate all the support the other business owners have given."
Greyten – Opened April
Bringing new life to what was previously the location of Adela’s, Greyton blends architecture and interior design to create spaces that shape lives, inspire change and leave a lasting legacy.
O’Larney’s Pub and Rooftop Bar – Opened March
Old Town’s O’Larney’s is your go-to pub and rooftop bar for great drinks, live music and a lively atmosphere! Stop in for craft cocktails, beers, classic pours and snacks.
The James & Rye – Opened April
A stylish new craft cocktail lounge that’s already buzzing. Whether it’s date night or drinks with friends, this place features live music and scrumptious sips.
Aptitude Tattoo Co. – Opened May
Aptitude Tattoo Co. is a Creative Minds Studio in Old Town. With over 30 years of combined experience, the business’s artists specialize in bold, custom work in a clean, vibrant space!
