Discover Alley Doors
The Alley Doors project repurposes alley and back-of-building doors into a discovery-driven urban gallery. Participating downtown property and business owners can browse an online database of artwork created by Kansas artists to select artwork to be featured on their alley doors. This artwork will then be printed on vinyl and applied to their alley or back-of-building doors. Explore the urban core and discover these unique doors using the list below and our interactive map.

About the Project
The goal of this project is to increase foot traffic and visibility of overlooked spaces in downtown and thus enhance safety, combat vandalism and create surprises for passersby. The door murals are accompanied by an artist title card and signage. Downtown Wichita received a grant from the Knight Foundation Fund at the Wichita Community Foundation to create these unexpected art destinations.
