FLOW Last year, over 100 planter pots were installed along Douglas Avenue from Main to Washington Streets. These planters are filled with flowers and greenery and are updated seasonally. This initiative, titled “Flowers on Douglas,” was launched by Downtown Wichita in 2017 in partnership with the City of Wichita, who purchased large planter pots for the Douglas Avenue corridor as part of its ongoing streetscape improvement project. Downtown Wichita contracted with a local landscape company to plant and maintain the planters on an ongoing basis, utilizing funding from the SSMID. Flowers on Douglas 5 5 D O W N T O W N
