28 The LUX 20 million The LUX is the redevelopment of the former Kansas Gas Electric Building. The project is a mixed-use development offering office residential venue space and luxury terraces overlooking the Citys skyline. The first and second floors of the seven-story building offer office space while the top five floors house apartments - totaling 86 units. Unit amenities include washer and dryer unique energy efficient lighting and free wireless internet access. The LUX has developed a unique sense of community and place in Downtown Wichita while keeping true to the buildings original 1950s character.
