73 new residential units are under construction at the corner of 3rd and St. Francis in Downtown Wichita
As demand for Downtown living increases, and the St. Francis Street corridor continues to see progress, developers have invested in an expansion of the existing Flats 324 residential property. This new $7 million ground-up development will expand east on an empty parking lot adjacent to the existing building. Key Construction is the general contractor for the project and Spangenberg Phillips Tice Architecture is the architect.
The expansion at 324 N. Emporia will add 73 new one and two bedroom units, ranging from 575-905 SF. Amenities will include a Wi-Fi-ready cafe and an outdoor pool. Rents will start around $700.
The original Flats 324 was completed in 2010, and was a conversion of the historic Wichita High School into 68 apartments with two unique units in the building’s old art and boiler rooms.
